Night Journal – Updates and a Digital Gift for Writers

So, in the spirit of not neglecting this blog, but rather than that keep it as a personal journal of my efforts and thoughts, I’ve decided to post today about some of the things I’m doing and share with you fellow authors some resources that I’m using for my own self-study.

New content type is coming, mainly because of my ongoing studies and projects, of those things is: musical analysis. So what’s that and how do I go about it?

No idea.

I was just being dramatic, I have an idea but in fairness it’s rather incomplete. I’ve been studying singing, music theory, classical guitar and EDM production lately (yes, as in, everyday study as much as possible). So in my mind I feel like I can’t just store and store info without outputting something, even if imperfect. So I will pick a song, find the score (or transcribe it) and aim to find interesting points and comments on them, link the song to the article and voilá; I’m learning so don’t take it to heart if I’m not the most elegant critic.

The other type of content I anticipate I will be posting is related to writing, exercises resources and potentially to things I’m reading about; that’s like, full cycle, I try my best that my reading aligns with my writing goals but my mind is always taking me to weird places so that won’t happen always.

Still, I built some inforgraphics for my own self-study based on a little book on writing short stories that I mentioned in my previous post; they may be super basic but it’s what works for me and I certainly hope you can also use them:

That’s it! Have fun!
